Dìdi Movie Release Date
Sean Wang, a nominee for an Academy Award, is the writer and director of Dìdi 2024 Showtimes (弟弟).
A humorous, irreverent, and poignant tribute to first-generation teens navigating the joy and chaos of adolescence, the film is set in the Bay Area of California in 2008 and is viewed through the eyes of a 13-year-old Taiwanese American boy, had by Izaac Wang (Good Boys, Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon).
It was well praised by critics and viewers when it debuted in competition at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, where it took both the U.S. Dramatic Audience Award and the U.S. A major Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble Cast.
